40 Leadenhall Street under construction. A major new building underconstruction on Leadenhall Street designed by MAKE Architects.
From the MAKE web site: We’ve reconciled these contextual challenges with a sensible but striking 34-storey design that recalls the classic North American skyscrapers of the early 20th century. The building is made up of several stepped blocks, and at its tallest point to the north, around neighbouring towers, terraces down towards the river and the Tower of London. It steps back on Leadenhall Street to remain out of sight from Fleet Street and the ceremonial route to St Paul’s.
