About Brian Harris Photographer
Brian Harris was a staff photographer with the Times of London before joining the Independent newspaper as one of the founding photographers in 1986. Brian went freelance in 1999 and has photographed for both editorial and corporate clients. His quiet insoucient unobtrusive way of working has been appreciated by the likes of Accenture when he photographed the final days of putting the Olympic 2012 bid together as well as for St Christopher's Hospice, the world renowned charity that deals with terminal illness. He has been working recently as part of a rebranding for Capacity Builders, a Goverment third way project as well as for a major legal firm based in London.
Brian was asked in 2006 to photograph the Remembered project for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. A world wide assignment that took him from the Far East to North Africa via India and Newfoundland as well as many trips to Europe to photograph the work carried out by the CWGC. This resulted in the highly aclaimed book, 'Remembered', jointly authored with Julie Summers.
Recently Brian has completed a range of assignments for Intelligent Life Magazine, part of the Economist group based in London.
Although Brian has travelled around the world on assignment for many years he is just as happy to photograph the early morning dew on a spiders web in his garden or the landscape of East Anlglia during the autumn harvest, for no other reason other than that he found it interesting and visually stimulating.
Brian lives near Cambridge in the UK but is available for assignment worldwide.
